Engineering Projects,
Planning, Removal and Disposal

In 2022, Ocyan winned a contract in the Subsea Decommissioning area to remove flexible pipes and umbilicals from the seabed. The work will take place in the Campos Basin (FPSO Cidade do Rio de Janeiro and FPSO Cidade de Rio das Ostras) and in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin (FPSO Piranema). To accomplish this, engineering activities, offshore recovery operations, transfer to a disposal site, cleaning, conditioning, and final disposal will be conducted.

The total length of the pipes to be removed is approximately 275 km, weighing nearly 20,000 tons, and they are located at depths ranging from 800 to 1700 meters. The project will be executed by the Norwegian vessel Normand Cutter, leased from the company Solstad Offshore.

Our experience

Chartering and operation of flexible riser deployment units, SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) projects, and export lines, as well as manufacturing and installation of subsea equipment.

Ocyan was the first Brazilian company to operate in the Subsea sector in the country and the first to use the MPD (Managed Pressure Drilling) technique. The company is committed to continuous innovation, providing sustainable, safe, and financially attractive solutions.

PIPE LAYING SUPPORT VESSEL (PLSV)

Ocyan operated, from 2014 to 2019, in partnership with the French company TechnipFMC, through the TOP Joint Venture, in the operation of the TOP Estrela do Mar and TOP Coral do Atlântico units along the Brazilian coast. These flexible pipe-laying vessels (PLSVs) were the only units in Petrobras' subsea interconnection fleet to successfully install production lines with a silicone layer.

EPCI offshore

In 2023, Ocyan winned a contract to carry out the revitalization of the gas network in the Campos Basin. We will provide services in offshore EPCI projects, which include engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of equipment. We are partnering with the Portuguese company Mota Engil, which has a strong international presence, especially in Europe and Africa. The offshore activities will take place near the Namorado and Garoupa platforms (PNA-1 and PGP-1), and include the installation of various subsea equipment, including manifolds, and flexible pipe installation. The first stage of the project, involving the engineering phase, is expected to commence immediately, and offshore operations are anticipated to begin in 2025. The execution of the Campos Basin network revitalization project involves hiring professionals, specialists, and technicians from various fields.

COMPRISER® (COMPOSITE MULTI-BORE HYBRID RISER)

In partnership with Magma Global, the manufacturer of the world's most advanced composite pipe, and BrasFels, a Brazilian shipyard of Keppel Offshore & Marine, Ocyan presents a new solution for deepwater riser systems: the CompRiser® (CMHR - Composite Multi-Bore Hybrid Riser). The technology offers numerous benefits to offshore production, including ease of assembly, high corrosion resistance, up to 80% reduction in load applied to the FPSO (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading), and the ability to withstand high temperatures and pressure.
