Nexio and ibbx sign partnership to bring predictive monitoring technology to the industrial and offshore sector
Subtítulo
Solution aims to predict failures in equipment and systems in the sector, optimizing maintenance
Nexio, the digital products and services platform, has announced a strategic partnership with IBBX, a company specializing in connectivity and remote monitoring solutions. The collaboration unites smart sensors, wireless gateways and the IBBX Analytics Platform, focused on fault prediction and the digitalization of industrial operations - especially in highly complex environments such as offshore.
With proprietary long-range communication technology, IBBX delivers robust connectivity over long distances, keeping low cost with high efficiency. The protocol allows data transmission over 1 km in open field and up to 300 meters in environments with physical barriers or electromagnetic pollution, forming dense private networks with minimal need for repeaters.
The result of the partnership is a scalable, efficient and highly applicable wireless monitoring solution for critical industrial operations, made up of intelligent wireless sensors, communication gateways and software for analyzing and predicting failures.
"The partnership with IBBX strengthens our digital solutions ecosystem by bringing cutting-edge connectivity combined with the analytical capacity of the IBBX Platform. We are expanding our value delivery to customers, with a focus on reliability, operational efficiency and sustainability," says Rodrigo Chamusca, executive manager of Digital Business and Technology at Ocyan, the oil and gas company that controls Nexio, in partnership with consultancy firm EloGroup.
The new technology can be applied to any type of rotating equipment - from reduction gearing to turbines, between 30 and 10,000 RPM - and in any industrial segment. However, the initial focus will be on expanding service to the oil and gas industry, especially in the offshore environment, where remote monitoring brings significant operational and safety benefits.
Among the main gains are reduction in unscheduled downtime through the early identification of faults in critical assets; maintenance optimization, with the transition from corrective to predictive models; fewer interventions in the field, eliminating the need for physical access to equipment; and greater asset reliability, with decisions based on real and continuous data.
The IBBX Platform acts continuously and autonomously, finding behavioral patterns and anomalies that indicate future failures, allowing for planned interventions and reducing revenue losses. In recent presentations, cases have shown significant savings by preventing failures and reducing equipment downtime.
"With this integration, we complement Nexio's portfolio with a complete solution that connects the field to digital intelligence. It's another step in our mission to drive digital transformation with a focus on performance, safety and sustainability," says Chamusca.
IBBX is the eleventh startup to join the digital solutions platform, after Altave, Cumulus (United States), ConditionAll (Norway), Pyplok (Canada), Confirm8, Endserv, Protium Dynamics, Intelie, Dersalis and Vidya (invested by Ocyan).
