Aware of opportunities to offer innovative solutions for the offshore industry, Ocyan is participating in the FPSO Brazil Congress 2024, which will be held from May 21st to 24th in Rio de Janeiro. This is the sixth time the company has taken part in the event, which brings together the industry's main global and regional players to discuss the future of the Brazilian FPSO industry and the best strategies and practices for optimizing operations.

With panels and lectures by professionals and experts in the industry, the event will discuss opportunities and challenges to strengthen the FPSO market in the country, as well as its great potential for commercial expansion.

The only Brazilian company operating FPSOs in Brazil, Ocyan will take part in the pre-event 'Project Financing Panel Discussion', on May 21st, moderated by Helena Ramos, the company's Finance and Investment Officer. Topics will include the viability of commercial FPSO projects, current market trends and the importance of adding ESG and sustainability value to projects. The executive, who will be the chairperson for the first day of the congress, will also address the main challenges for financing new FPSO projects.

"Over the years, Ocyan has sought to offer all its expertise in FPSO operations to the offshore market. We believe in the great potential for expansion of this market in Brazil and recognize that an event like this opens up perspectives for the adoption of best business practices," says Ramos.

The event will be attended by Monique Borges, Ocyan's FPSO Business Executive Manager, as Chairperson. She will lead the proceedings on both days of the event and will moderate discussions on the panel 'Offshore Leaders Speaks': WhatKeeps Offshore Leaders Awake at Night?' which will cover, among other topics, the growing demand for offshore energy and energy security, considering the impacts of carbon emissions.

"We are at a time of expansion in the FPSO market, with new oil and natural gas production platforms planned for the next five years. The environmental issue of energy transition will also be discussed at the event. The participation of various players will add to the meeting," says Borges.

The FPSO Congress Brazil is part of the FPSO Global Series, a series of events with the main parties involved in this industry, which take place all over the world. These meetings explore and discuss best practices to strengthen the future of FPSOs.
