In the month in which International Women's Day is celebrated (March 8th), Ocyan, a company in the oil and gas sector, has received recognition for its work in promoting diversity by winning the Women-Friendly Company Seal - Gold category.

The award, granted by the State Departments for Women and Economic Development, Industry, Trade and Services and published in the Official Register of the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, came early this month.

The Women-Friendly Company Seal is awarded annually to companies that contribute to actions and projects to promote and defend women's rights in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Several aspects were observed, which are listed in 12 requirements, including the company's working environment, which must value women's health, physical and emotional integrity and dignity.

Ocyan is the only company in the oil and gas sector recognized with the seal in this year's edition, which once again puts it in a leading position and at the forefront of promoting diversity and inclusion

The award ceremony will take place next Monday, March 31st, in Copacabana, Rio. The event will be attended by Governor Cláudio Castro, the State Secretary for Women, Heloisa Aguiar, and the State Secretary for Economic Development, Industry, Trade and Services, Fernanda Curdi.

Race is a Priority Movement

Another important achievement this month, when the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (21/03) is celebrated, was Ocyan's recognition by the Race is a Priority Movement, an initiative of the UN Global Compact in Brazil, which aims to promote racial inclusion in companies.

Launched in 2022, the Movement aims to reach 1,500 companies committed to having 50% black people in leadership positions by 2030. Currently, Ocyan has 36% black people in leadership positions.
