Ocyan won this month, for the 10th time, the Silver Seal of the GHG Protocol, that assesses and certifies the inventory of GHG gases of the company.

The GHG Protocol is a methodology widely used in the world to validate emission data through the Public Record of Emissions.

“We announce this achievement as a significant milestone in our sustainability journey and to our commitment to the environmental management. This seal reflects our commitment to implementing robust and transparent practices in emissions management”, highlights Marcelo Mafra, Sustainability Director at Ocyan.

Another novelty that contributes to strengthening the company's GHG inventory was starting to map emissions from the value chain. In this context, an internal solution was developed by means of Intralab, the company's intrapreneurship program, structuring an action plan to reduce scope 3 emissions, through engagement with Ocyan's supply chain on the climate agenda.

2024 perspectives

This year, we highlight the purchasing of an important software to manage emissions, designed to monitor, analyze and mitigate GHG emissions in a more efficient manner. This investment reinforces the company's commitment to combating climate change.

“Our objective is to keep improving sustainable practices to achieve even greater levels of excellence. We have the ambition to audit the results of GHG emissions in 2024 and achieve the GHG Protocol Gold Seal in 2025”, concludes Mafra.
